Theraflu didn’t order Kanye West to change song title | Music News

Yet more details emerged today in the controversy surrounding Kanye West and his recently released “Theraflu” (now titled “Way Too Cold”) track. Following reports that the cold and flu medicine brand “forced” Yeezy to change the name of his latest single — with one employee quoted as saying “We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner” — the company now denies all such claims.
“Novartis Consumer Health did not ask that the name be changed – that request would be way too cold,” joked Theraflu in a statement issued to TMZ, revoking whatever strict image they may have appeared to have before. Kanye has since confirmed this statement.
Along with the name change, ‘Ye also altered the artwork for “Way Too Cold,” replacing the Theraflu bottle with blank space, as you can see above.
In other news, “Way Too Cold” is now available on the iTunes store. Buy here.
